Why be a foster carer?
A loving home and supportive parents are things many of us take for granted. Unfortunately, for some children and young people, issues such as physical, sexual and emotional abuse and neglect are a feature of their lives.

That's why foster carers are so important. As a foster carer, you are giving a child in need the chance of a better life. You'll be providing not just the basics such as food and shelter but support, encouragement, reassurance, self-esteem - and most importantly, love. That's what makes fostering so rewarding.

"The reward has been seeing my foster child blossom and flourish."
