One of the ways we improve our services to our foster carers, children and young people is to listen to their views. We conducted a research study that asked foster carers to tell us what they think of all aspects of our service. We found that they valued the overall level of support offered to them. They had found the training to be of a high standard and the trainers very effective.

These are some of the comments that foster carers made when asked to comment on their experience of working with Rainbow Fostering:-

• "I enjoy being a foster carer, I find it very fulfilling."

• "I have the utmost respect for the director and staff, who are very supportive and sensitive to the carers needs. They also give a lot of affirmation and encouragement to carers which motivates us to do better and achieve more."

• "My link worker has been very helpful, she is easy to talk to and reliable."

• "As Rainbow has expanded and become more professional, they try to cater for the needs of foster carers and children."

• "The reward has been from my foster child seeing her blossom and flourish."

We also ask children what they think about the carers we place them with and their comments are also very insightful. This is one of them:-

• "I am now seeing another side of life a happy normal one here with Angela ... I feel loved and cared for."

  Ian and I would like to thank you both for a wonderful evening we enjoyed on Saturday at the Renaissance Hotel. Of course we feel quite humbled having been given an award for what we deem a privilege; to be able to share with others what we, as a family, have been so blessed with and can sometimes take for granted. Fostering has changed us as people for the better, and for this we are thankful and indeed grateful to Rainbow for affording us this privilege.
  
  We can only pray that Rainbow will continue to prosper in this good work and that we might see many children's lives changed as a result of this work.
